It all began with an idea. I had gone to Glastonbury and stayed in the most luxe glamping tents. It elevated my experience and I came back home wondering how I could recreate that. Then one day I was out for a run when I came past Church Farm and its owner. Fate took over and I made them a business proposal.
Now here we are, in the magic of nature.
We are lovers of the outdoors and feel particularly lucky to live in an area with such beautiful surroundings. It was after many camping trips away that we started to think about the potential of our area and how appealing it would be to campers.
We knew that the vast outdoor landscape would provide outdoor enthusiasts endless opportunities that they would love and enjoy, the setting at Church Farm is perfect. What we wanted to ensure was that the accommodation matched the high standards of the location whilst also being considerate to the environment.
So we decided upon a small glamp-site that offered a hassle-free camping experience that included items of luxury for example beds, at the same time as protecting our environment and surrounding area.
We have 5 glamping tents on site; each tent with its own double bed (with a proper mattress!) and up to 3 single camp beds – all with freshly laundered bedding (including duvets, pillows and sheets). With coir matting, scattered rugs, and extra blankets and throws these canvas structures can get extremely cosy.
There is no electricity on site but there are enough lanterns & eco-friendly fairy lights to create a warm glow. And you need not worry about running out of charge on your mobile phone; there is access to charge points.
A kitchen box will be supplied which will contain enamel dining ware for each person; plate, bowl, and mug, cooking pots, kettle, wooden spoons, bottle opener, cork screw, cutlery, bucket to carry your washing up, scourer and tea towels. Basic pantry essentials like oil, salt, pepper, sugar and tea and coffee will be supplied. And to cook up your culinary delights there is a gas camping stove.
The showers and toilets are conveniently situated on site accessible to the glampsite occupants only. The bespoke wooden build has three hot showers and two compost toilets and an undercover washing up area with hot water. There are soap dispensers and hand sanitisers and the areas are cleaned to a sparkling standard daily.
